More and more people are getting hooked with Farm Town. My cousin and her husband are hardworking farmers of Farm Town. and so are my sisters, Euvelyn and Elanie. I started ahead of them but they are on a much higher level now than me.

Jason is now a farmer too! When I asked him what made him play the game, he said because I am always talking about it. As for his progress, he is level 9 as I am writing this. I also met a woman from Pennsylvania named Amy Oberdick. She is a generous neighbor. She sends me gifts everyday. I was able to work at her farm before.

The latest addition to Farm town Addicts in my family is my sister Elanie's husband Jayson. I can't help smiling with the way we love Farm Town. Friendster is now just a memory since we can do a lot with Facebook.

As for my progress, I am an Acclaimed Farmer at level 25 with 31 neighbors, 17 buddies and counting. I already have a farm house and a small pond. I owned farm animals which were being given to me as gifts. Thanks to my generous neighbors. My farm is being bordered by trees of different kinds, also gifts from my neighbors. So far that's the latest with my farming adventures.

My father values his time so much. He does everything by the clock. He works as if everything depends on time. So what will be the best gift for him but a watch? My siblings and I decided on buying him a Rolex watch to surprise him. We look for best deals and good prices on the net.

We found it on www.bestoftime.com also known as Alex Jewelry, a proud member of Better Business Bureau (BBB) and holds the highest form of recognition. So customers are guaranteed of big savings but get the best value for their money.

Last week I went to Mercury Drug Store at Gaisano Mall, Davao City. I encountered a man at the door on my way out. As I was about to go out, he held the door open for me. This surprised me but I was pleased on the other hand. It is not everyday that I am being treated that way. I was hurrying that I forgot to thank him. I did not even caught a glimpse of him. I hope he can read this for him to know that he did me a great favor.

Another incident happened at National Bookstore in the same mall. I was browsing a book when it slipped from my hand. A man standing next to me quickly bent and picked the book for me. Once again, I feel like I am somebody special. As I have said, it's not everyday that I get to encounter this kind of men. Good thing I was able to thank the man this time.

In this modern times when men and women are treated as equal, one of the things that surprises me is to discover that there are still a lot of gentlemen out there. These gestures may be small but they have a significant impact on me. Though men are growing insensitive, I am glad that there are still a lot of this rare breed that exist in our midst.

To all the gentlemen out there, I am proud of you. And like Abou Ben Adhem, may your tribe increase.

In the world of Azeroth, there are two factions, the Alliance and the Hordes. Only a certain group of race are in each faction. Humans, night elves, gnomes and an alien race known as the Draenei belong to the Alliance. Under the Hordes are orc, trolls, undead, blood elves and the Trauen (they look like cow people). The Alliance and Hordes hate each other. They are bitter enemies. They have been warring for hundred of years.

What's this? Welcome to the World of Warcraft! An online game that Jason is so crazy about.

Here's an overview from his own version:

When you enter the world of Azeroth, you have to first choose what side to be on, Alliance of Horde then you get to pick your race. After you pick your race and customize your toon you can name him and then you enter the world as a level 1.

Your goal is to level your character and improve the armor you wear, weapons you carry, strength, agility and intellect which can all be done by doing quests. And then when you turn in a quest, you get experience and money. You can also get experience by exploring the world, too. Every new area you go into you get experience. The animals and monsters you fight also have levels and its important to only be in an area that isn't too much higher than you.

You can learn jobs like leather working, blacksmithing, alchemy, enchanting, mining, etc. and those jobs start at level 1. So you have to level those as you get stronger so you can make new and better things. You will find patterns and recipes as you go. You can learn to fish and be a cook too.

You can meet people and do quest together, too. It's lots of fun, there is so much to do, you never get bored, you always have something to do or somewhere to go. You can join a guild and be a part of a very large group of people from all over the world. what's the importance of a guild? It is important for a lot of reasons, you can make friends, meet people to chat to, to do quests with, etc.

If you want to enter this world click here

I've been away from bloglandia for a week. This crazy weather we have here beat me and put me in bed for the rest of the week. I couldn't get up because if I do, the whole world will start to spin around. lol My knees were so weak that I have to exert effort just to stand. I had a terrible headache and a fit of coughing that kept me awake in the middle of the night. When I woke up the next day, my ears and throat felt so sore. My God I hate being sick!

To get myself out of boredom, I watched Russell Crowe and Al Pacino movies. Believe it or not I watch The Godfather I, II and III in just one setting! Not to mention Devil's Advocate, Scarface, A Beautiful Mind, The Insider, my personal favorite Gladiator and a lot more. Thanks God for this heaven-sent fluffy pillows, it made my stay in bed a little comfortable.

I have not yet fully recovered from my illness. I still feel weak and I feel like floating when I walk. As I got home today, I immediately went to bed and sleep for an hour. When I woke up I feel a little better. I wish tomorrow I will have a complete convalescence.

Ushi playing with her toy. She's playing all day. Running, jumping, very playful as a puppy should be. She's making Jason crazy because she's chewing his socks and shoes. So he bought her a ball to play on, but still she keeps on chewing. Be patient dear, she's only a baby. ;)

Look at her in this lovable pose. She seems very friendly with the camera. I never thought I could love this puppy the way I love a human baby. She's no longer the cute puppy she once been.

Before I got my present job, I used to work as an inventory analyst at Citi Hardware. A job that I never imagined I'm going to have. I wondered why I was I hired because I knew that I never had an idea what an inventory analyst does. I honestly told my interviewer about it. But I've been hired me just the same. Well, trusting the principle that everything can be learned, I took the risk of going for the job.

My first day went just fine, except that I stood for eight hours in the mass display to get acquainted with the items. It went on for a week. The first two months were terrible. I cannot differentiate a tox from a screw and a bolt from a nut. I hardly knew that there are a lot of nails with different uses. I used to think that a lock only refers to a pad lock and a key but when I worked at Citi Hardware I realized how ignorant I was with these those things. Thanks to the product presentation we had every Saturday, little by little I got familiar with the items. In my later year, a new task was added to my responsibilities. I was assigned to oversee the hardware section. With that, I got to familiarize various useful tools that I only see in my father's collection.

In my three years of stay, I faced challenges. I laughed and cried. There were sunny days and rainy days as well. Ups and downs. Times when I wanted to scream but I had to smile. I made lot of friends. I've been to places. I was lucky enough to have good superiors who guided me. I got to meet people with varied personalities that I had to deal with everyday. Glad that I endured them all. My overtime days are all behind me now. It was a great experience I did not regret, even once.

Ever since I was in high school, I am already a fan of Sen. Juan M. Flavier who used to be the secretary of the Department of Health during the time of pres. Fidel V. Ramos. I used to read his article in the Catholic Digest. My particular favorite was the Parable of the Onion. But I can't seem to find the article anymore. My second favorite among his writings, the Parable of the Special Tree which can be found in his book Parables of the Barrio vol. 301-350. For the benefit of my international readers, let me share this story to you.

"There is a story which old folks tell when nights at the barrio happen to be oppressively hot and humid.

Many years ago, when their barrio was still young, there towered a gigantic tree at the edge of the village. A tree so big its base occupied the equivalent of their barrio plaza or at least one hectare. So huge a tree that it took several hundred villagers to encircle its trunk with their arms extended and hands clasped.

The branches of this majestic tree went so high. In fact, no one had ever seen the top as cloud formations covers the upper section. The foliage was so luxuriant the tree actually provided shade for several barrios. Underneath, it was quite difficult to see for the sun could not penetrate the lush leaves. There it was always cool and shady.

The time came when some farmers started to complain. The shade had prevented crops and various vegetation to grow on what they deemed a wide area of wasted and idle land. They also claimed that the lack of sunlight made their children sickly.

They decided to petition God to remove the tree.

After hearing their seemingly legitimate gripes, God declared, "I shall take away your tree." Suddenly, successive flashes of lightning dtruck the tree. the crackle was deafening and the burst of flames was blinding. It didn't take long for the massive tree to disintegrate completely.

True enough, the land became suitable for farming. The sun shone on the land with full intensity. The people savored the bright days.

But their glee was short lived. Their meager water supply could not irrigate the vast land. The soil dried up and cracked. The air gradually became hotter and more humid. The people clamored for the once cool shade and crisp air.
In contrite and repentant manner the villagers agreed to petition God for the return of the tree.

But God replied, " It cannot be done. Even I take years to grow a tree - to nurture a seedling and shape it to full slendor. And in the case of your exceptional tree, it took me a thousand years. And yet it only took the foolish shortsightedness of a man to destroy it in an instant."

Since then the air continued to get hotter and more humid. And each year, throughout the land, countless precious trees continue to disappear. For man's foolish shortsightedness shall always prevail."

My sister just got married and has now transferred to their new home. It is a three-bedroom house with one room left vacant. Being confronted with problem of furnishing the said room, she asked for suggestions on what to do with it. Knowing that like me, she too loves movies, I told her to convert it into an entertainment room. In that way, she can watch movies in a cozy and comfortable ambiance without leaving home. She agreed saying it's an excellent idea.

Drawing inspiration from the television set we saw inside an office we went into, she decided to have a LCD television, a DVD player and subwoofers to furnish her simple home theater (and other accessories to be added later). To which her husband, who is also a movie addict got very excited. To realize this idea of a home theater, we scoured stores and catalogs offering best deals. We search the net too for great finds. And we were not disappointed.

Now, the spare room has been put to use. She's all smiles to see that that once bare room has now been filled and furnished with all things she wanted to have.

At 3 a.m. today, the 11th president of the Republic of the Philippines, Corazon Cojuangco Aquino died at the age of 76. After a year of battling with colon cancer, finally God decided to end her suffering and bring her to His loving embrace.

The whole nation mourned its great loss. We may have lost the icon of democracy, but what she eternally symbolizes and her legacy of freedom and non-violent resistance remain in our hearts. She was truly an amazing woman. From being a widow of the late Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr., she became the first woman to become the president of the Republic of the Philippines. A leader that ended the years of tyranny from the hands of a dictator. A true symbol of democracy and freedom. She led the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution. The event that etched the Philippines on the face of history, earned the respect and admiration of other countries and changed the lives of millions of Filipinos.

Whatever we, Filipinos are enjoying today, we owed it to her. No wonder how Filipinos love this simple yet truly remarkable and strong woman. Even in her death she remained simple for she opted to have a private funeral over a state funeral.

We should be happy for her, for she will already be united with her husband Ninoy. I know he's waiting for her with yellow ribbon tied on trees as what she did to welcome him home but he never get to see.

Tita Cory, go in peace to the Father's home. Help us Filipinos to guard your legacy with fervor.
